Terms of Service

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Service Description

OrderEdit is a Shopify application that lets a merchant's customers self-serve modify their orders before they ship, from the Shopify Customer Account and Order Status surfaces. Supported operations are: changing the shipping address, cancelling the entire order, swapping a variant or changing quantity, and cancelling a single line item. Edits are applied only when the order is unfulfilled, within the merchant-configured edit window, requested by the order's owner, and the operation is enabled in the merchant's settings.

2. Account & Eligibility

To use OrderEdit, you must have an active Shopify store and install our app through the Shopify App Store or Partner dashboard. The app requires the read_orders, write_orders, read_order_edits, and write_order_edits access scopes to read and modify orders on your behalf. By installing, you grant these permissions and agree to these terms.

3. Billing

Charges are processed through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. You may cancel at any time through your Shopify admin billing settings.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all order and edit data processed through your store. We act as a data processor on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

6. Merchant Responsibility for Edits

You control which edit operations are enabled, the edit window, and whether items are auto-restocked and refunded on cancellation. You are responsible for ensuring these settings align with your store policies. Order edits, cancellations, and refunds applied through the app are final actions taken against your Shopify store and may not be reversible.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

8. Limitation of Liability

OrderEdit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your use of OrderEdit at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
