OrderEdit installs from the Shopify App Store and runs through a Customer Account UI extension and your secure offline Admin token. No theme code, no custom development.
Each operation is applied server-side, eligibility-checked, and individually toggleable — you decide exactly what customers can change on their own, and everything outside your rules stays locked.
Customers update where their order ships with a guided address form. The change is written to the order through Shopify’s own admin flow, so the corrected address goes straight to fulfillment — before the wrong-address package goes out.
A full self-serve cancellation with your configured restock, refund-to-original-payment-method, and customer-notification behavior. Authorized-but-uncaptured payments are voided automatically.
Wrong size or color? Shoppers switch the variant or adjust quantity through Shopify’s native order-edit flow — the same edit you’d make in the admin, minus the ticket asking you to make it.
Remove just one item from a multi-item order, with restock and a refund of the suggested amount for that line to the original payment method — the rest of the order ships untouched.

Edits are only allowed when the order is unfulfilled, inside your edit window, and requested by the customer who actually owns the order. Fulfilled orders, expired windows, and non-owners are rejected automatically.

Shoppers open their order from the Shopify customer account or order-status page and pick an action: change address, cancel order, swap variant or quantity, or cancel a single item. The request is authenticated and applied server-side through Shopify’s Admin API using your store’s secure offline token. The customer-facing extension never touches the Admin API directly.

Only when all of these are true: the order is unfulfilled, it’s within your configured edit window, the requesting customer owns the order, the specific operation is enabled in your settings, and your shop is within its plan limit. Fulfilled orders and orders past the window are always rejected.
Canceling an entire order refunds to the original payment method and voids any authorized-but-uncaptured payment. Canceling a single line item reads Shopify’s suggested refund for that line, restocks it, and refunds the suggested amount to the original payment method. Unpaid or COD orders are skipped automatically.

Yes. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on Supabase with TLS-encrypted connections, and is never sold or shared with third parties — order mutations go only to Shopify. We implement all three mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and delete all shop data within 48 hours of uninstall.

Pro is a flat $149/month for unlimited edited orders, auto restock & refund, and priority support, plus 1% of the upsell revenue OrderEdit generates for your store — that 1% applies only to new revenue the app creates, so it's $0 until upsells are making you money. No per-edit fees on either plan. Billing runs through Shopify, and you can change plans any time from your Shopify admin.
